Butterflies are deep and powerful representations of life.
Many cultures associate the butterfly with our souls. The Christian religion sees the butterfly as a symbol of resurrection. Around the world, people view the butterfly as representing endurance, change, hope, and life.*
From a purely aesthetic perspective, butterflies add a pop of color, details, and can break up an otherwise boring composition or lead the viewer’s eye to the subject. Having realistic butterflies with no edges that blend seamlessly into your background can be a real bonus. These butterflies are versatile, as a group, they are small but individually, they are large enough to be used even on close up images.
To create the best quality butterflies, I worked with two different nature photographers who were able to get up close and personal with these delicate creatures. The difference between authentic butterflies in their natural habitats and fabric (or dead) butterflies used to create overlays is HUGE.
Trust me, you want the real thing.
The overlays are so easy to use! I’ve carefully removed all backgrounds and edges to allow them to seamlessly integrate with any image.
